UGH.

I've edited off and on over a decade now.

I resent the loss in trust in people. In the public. The original idea of appeal , anyone could edit...three year olds, trained monkeys,

Artifical intelligence, well meaning people....... the well meaning have lost.

Alas I am not here everyday. I am one of the seven billion occasional editors. I suppose their are a few hundred thousand that pay more attention here on a daily basis. Constantly reworking edits and improving stubs by folks like me... But I thought that was the beauty.. Nobody ever had to do either. I watched my own mormon war stub grow and grow over the years into a full fledged article all of its own raised by so many ...and I watched it grow older and die the death of discombobulation /deletion/inclusion. Such is what the editors thought best. And while I was away too often to ever of participated in that conversation, I enjoyed watching its evolution over the years as I touched on other stuff from time to time. Contributing where I could , apoligizing and correcting where in error.

So this is the new direction of wikipeada... forward we go.

eh... maybe I will grow to like the new direction.

Oh hell no. this seems much more terrible.

It is. A bunch of conjoling and encouraging and repeating about join join join....excuse me. Register register register ... and yeah... for what? aggrement to a few rights that don't quite apply in ignorance and A whole bunch of responsiblities that I will be subject of regardless and for what? I can't contribute an article. I can't review articles. Too many things to review is an excuse that allows suppresion and control. Not the good kind of control that empowers either but the bad kind of control that stifles. For the smartest of the seedy humans love to put it off till forgoten. This works well with the forgetful humans who just forget. And all suffer.

Nupedia was a failure too.

Lets see if a few days of time changes things.
