Professor Hossein Najmi:

Dr. Hossein Najmi is a distinguished professional with a wide range of achievements in medicine and psychiatry. He earned his medical degree from Jundishapur University of Ahvaz School of Medicine and pursued further education and research. Dr. Najmi has made significant contributions to the field of medicine and healthcare. He has worked as a researcher in the Virology and Parasitology Departments of the Health Research Institute and School of Health at Tehran University.

Throughout his career, Dr. Najmi has been a driving force behind various healthcare initiatives. He has played vital roles, such as being a member of the treatment and rehabilitation staff and founding institutions like Vanak Addiction Hospital, Yaft-Abad Hospital, the Center for Treatment and Rehabilitation of addicted patients, and Karaj Youth City. The latter facility is dedicated to the treatment and rehabilitation of Iranian young addicted patients under the age of 25, with a capacity of one thousand beds and comprehensive facilities for diagnosis, treatment, and twelve-month residential care.

His extensive educational background includes specialized training in psychiatry and neuropsychiatric diseases in England. He previously studied at renowned institutions such as Harvard University in the United States, the Institute of Psychiatry at London University, and Oxford University in England. Additionally, Dr. Najmi completed a training course in prolonged EEG monitoring for epileptic patients at the headquarters of the International League Against Epilepsy in Heemstede, Netherlands. He also pursued a postgraduate course in rehabilitation at Bielefeld Rehabilitation in Germany.

Dr. Najmi has been an active consultant, contributing to the establishment of the first day treatment and rehabilitation center for addiction and assisting in the establishment of the first modern blood transfusion center in Cairo, Egypt. He was also a pioneer in founding the first anti-aging center in St. Gallen, Switzerland.

Furthermore, he held the position of Associate Professor of Psychiatry at Iran University of Medical Sciences and the Institute of Psychiatry of the Ministry of Health of Iran. He also served as the head of the Department of Psychiatry at the State Welfare Organization of Iran.

Dr. Najmi's involvement extends to various associations and foundations. He is a member of the board of the Iran Specialists Association and the board of trustees of the Iran Rare Diseases Foundation. Additionally, he held the position of Managing Director of the Persian Medical Tourism Company under the same foundation. He has been the Director and Medical In-Charge of Zafaranieh Private Nursing Home in Tehran and part of the academic staff at the Islamic Azad University Emarat branch. Furthermore, he has been a professor of Neuroscience at the Kish International Campus of the University of Tehran.

Dr. Najmi's contributions also encompass the preparation and establishment of specialized clinics and hospitals, as well as organizing scientific and specialized seminars with neighboring countries. He has played a pivotal role in establishing the first virtual hospital in Iran to promote equality of medical care for both Iranian and non-Iranian patients. Dr. Najmi is open to collaboration with institutions from different countries.
