Notes
[edit]- ^ Novem's analysis of the board at move 16: White is winning since they are up a knight. White's king is also better protected. White also has a great knight outpost. Black is not out yet though. Black has activated one of their rooks. A good future move for black might be to activate their remaining knight. However it may be challenging for black to avoid knight checks, losing tempo. There are also not very many good squares for the black bishop to move to that aren't attacked. The white knight threat will probably need to be dealt with ASAP, hopefully without trading pieces (since it is usually bad to trade pieces when you are down).
