Partula clara is a species of partulid within the genus Partula. The species is rarely referred to as the pale partula[1], and is endemic to Tahiti.
Distribution
[edit]P. affinis' historical distribution represents most of Tahiti, and it has gotten rarer but is still widespread, and it is known to remain on both Tahiti Nui and Tahiti Iti.[2]
Captive breeding
[edit]P. affinis was in the international Partula but only 2 individuals were collected and the captive population ultimately failed to sustain itself and was extirpated.
Phylogeny
[edit]Phylogenetic analyses confirmed that P. clara is not monophyletic, with specimens from different populations appearing at various parts within the tree.[3]
