Tuo river

Tuo River ( Chinese: 沱江; pinyin: Túo Jiāng) is a river in Sichuan province of China. It is one of the major tributaries of the upper Yangtze River and its length is about 655 km. Tuo river is originates from the northwest edge of Sichuan basin and runs through places like Jintang, Jianyang, Ziyang, Zizhong, Neijiang before it flows into Yangtze river at Luzhou city.

Luxian County

Luxian County (Chinese: 泸县; pinyin: lúxìan) is a county of Sichuan Province, China. It is under the administration of Luzhou city.

History

Luxian has a history over 2100 years. The county, known anciently as Jiangyang (江阳), was built in 135 BC during the Han Dynasty of China.[2]

Geography

The county has a total area of 2422 km².

Population

As of 2006. the county had a population of 1,055,200.

Hejiang County (Chinese: 合江; pinyin: héjiāng) is a county of Sichuan Province, China. It is under the administration of Luzhou city.

History

Hejiang County has a history over 2100 years. The county was built in 115 BC during the Han Dynasty of China.[4] and was one of the three oldest counties in the upper Yangtze river area.[5]

Geography

The county has a total area of 1,532 km².

Population

As of 2007, the county had a population of 875,000.[6]
