[edit]
Our age is retrospective. It builds the sepulchres of the fathers. It writes biographies, histories, and criticism. The foregoing generation beheld God and nature face to face; we, through their eyes. Why should not we also enjoy an original relation to the universe. Why should not we have a poetry and philosophy of insight and not of tradition? — Ralph Waldo Emerson
Great spirits have always encountered opposition from mediocre minds. The mediocre mind is incapable of understanding the man who refuses to bow blindly to conventional prejudices and chooses instead to express his opinions courageously and honestly.

I joined Wikipedia on 12 Nov 2004 and became an administrator on 6 Jan 2006. On Wikipedia, I've edited a wide variety of articles; take a look at my contributions for what some of those are, or just scroll down for a list of articles to which I've made major contributions. I also participate in articles for deletion and requests for adminship. In addition, as an administrator I roll back vandalism (mainly in recent changes); and I carry out speedy deletions. In addition to my work here, I have user accounts at the Wikiquote, Meta, and the Baseball Wikicity.
For those who are curious about my editing stats, you can see my edit count by entering my user name into Interiot's Tool or Interiot's "Wannabe Kate" tool, and you can also check how I compare to other editors by looking at the list of most active Wikipedians and the list of Wikipedians by number of recent edits. (Though, as some people here have said, "editcountitis can be fatal".)
As of right now, this user page has been vandalized 15 times. Thank you to all who revert vandalism to my user page. :-)
I have been impersonated by Ido Havaname.

I also expanded a substub article for the band Vomitorial Corpulence, but that article was deleted in an AfD that only got two votes. I had heard of the band, seen that another editor had created a stub about them, and decided to expand the article. (This was on March 22, 2005, so I've had many more edits since that one.)
Other significant expansions
[edit](Probably not complete)
- Zao (US band) - reworked/expanded History section (about 8 paragraphs)
- Aníbal Sánchez - not quite done there yet, but I added more about his no-hitter against Arizona and plan to add more sources from prospect reports
- Flight of Fear (Paramount's Kings Dominion) - Layout, statistics and awards, and theming sections
- Kings Dominion - 12 paragraphs to the History section; history sections for themed areas and attractions

Caught copyvios
[edit]Due to the nature of copyright violations on Wikipedia, these articles might be deleted and then reappear at some later date. By viewing the deleted edits of an article, you can tell that there was once copyvio on the page. Note that this list was compiled while the {{copyvio}} template was used on all copyvio edits, rather than just pages whose whole history had contained copyright violations. (The new instructions for dealing with copyright violations are located at Wikipedia:Copyright violations#Instructions.)

Wikiphilosophies
[edit]This section contained a bunch of my thoughts on different issues regarding Wikipedia, both as a whole and in its specific parts. In case you've followed an older link to this section of my user page, I've moved this to User:Idont Havaname/Wikiphilosophies, since it was starting to get long.
My standards for admin candidates and a list of administrators whose candidacies I supported are available here. Additionally, here are my voting standards for the Arbitration Committee elections in December 2006 and December 2007.
Wikimemberships
[edit]Here are a few associations and WikiProjects in which I am involved.

- Perpetual to-do: Wikipedia:Requested articles/sports, mainly the baseball section.
