leathery skin is described as a aggressive shimmer caused by the high proliferation of skin cells it comes in a single variant caused by a single autosomal gene hence why any human born can express this phenotype as long as individual has one immediate parent maternal or paternal with genotype that makes this phenotype. In describing its appearance its a full coverage aggressive shimmer always fluorescent bight white shimmer.

A group of pygmy people is what is today have this phenotype and has been proven that they where the ones before the khoikhoi and bantu speakers inherited the gene from them by intermarriage that as consistent for the past 2 000 years.
