Triacanthodes ethiops, the shortsnout spikefish, is a deep-water demersal fish found at a depth range 50–458 m.[1] Triacanthodes ethiops Alcock, 1894 from the Andaman and Nicobar Islands at a depth of 362m (Lat: 09037’529 N, Lon: 92044’179 E).
