Thor Griffith is an American college football defensive tackle for the Louisville Cardinals. He previously played for the Harvard Crimson.

Early life

Griffith attended Portsmouth High School in New Hampshire. Coming out of high school, Griffith decided to commit to play college football for the Harvard Crimson.[1][2] His mother is South Korean.[3]

College career

In Griffith's first collegiate season in 2021, he notched 31 tackles with 10.5 being for a loss, five sacks, and a forced fumble.[4] During the 2022 season, Griffith started in ten games for Harvard, totaling 46 tackles with 12 being for a loss, and five sacks.[5] For his performance during the 2022 season, Griffith was named to the all Ivy League first team.[6] In the 2023 season, Griffith tallied 55 tackles with 11 going for a loss along with three and a half sacks.[7] For his performance during the 2023 season, Griffith was named to the first team all Ivy League team.[8] After the conclusion of the 2023 season, Griffith decided to enter his name into the NCAA transfer portal.[9][10]

Griffith finished his career at Harvard playing in 30 games where he finished with 132 tackles with 33.5 being for a loss, and 13.5 sacks.[11]

Griffith's personal records include a 40-yard dash time of 4.95 seconds, and bench-pressing 225 pounds 45 times.[12]
