[edit]

The Omak Chronicle was first published on May 20, 1910. It was founded by Clarence P. Scates. The Omak Publishing Co. was sold to Frank DeVos in 1915. Frank Emert became the owner by 1926. Eagle Newspapers purchased the newspaper in 1996 and sold it to J. Louis Mullen in 2019.[2]

Teresa Myers has served as the publisher and advertising manager since Oct. 1, 2015.[3] The newspaper produced a joint weekend publication with The Wenatchee World from 2011-2021.[4]
