The Man with No Shadow (French: L'Homme sans ombre) is a Canadian-Swiss animated short film, directed by Georges Schwizgebel and released in 2004.[1] Adapted from Adelbert von Chamisso's 1814 novella Peter Schlemihl, the film centres on a man who sells his shadow in exchange for wealth, only to become rejected by society for his difference.[2]
The film premiered at the 2004 Cannes Film Festival.
The film was a Genie Award nominee for Best Animated Short at the 25th Genie Awards in 2005.[3]
