The Housemaid is an upcoming American thriller film directed by Paul Feig, starring Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried with Michele Morrone. It is an adaptation by Rebecca Sonnenshine of the novel by Freida McFadden.

[edit]The film is directed by Paul Feig and produced by Todd Lieberman for Hidden Pictures. Feig and Laura Fischer are also producing. It is an adaptation by Rebecca Sonnenshine of the novel by Freida McFadden. In October 2024, Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried were reported to be leading the cast and executive producing alongside McFadden and Alex Young.[1][2]
Filming
[edit]Principal photography began on January 3, 2025, in New Jersey, and it is expected to wrap on February 14. [3]
Release
[edit]The Housemaid is scheduled to be released in the United States on December 25, 2025.[4]
