Terňa

Terňa (Rusyn: Терня, Hungarian: Ternye) is a village in the Prešov District of the Prešov Region in eastern Slovakia.
History
[edit]The first reference to Terňa in historical literature appears in 1259 when Béla IV of Hungary donated Terňa to a Šariš royal named Therne.[1]
Geography
[edit]Terňa lies at an altitude of 383 metres (419 yd) and covers an area of 29.4 km2 (11.4 sq mi) (2020-06-30/-07-01).[2]
Population
[edit]The village has a population of 1,335 people (2020-12-31).[3]
