Change of flag on wikiproject template
[edit]I have reverted this. As far as i know, the official flag of Syria has not changed, and the split image combining a flag used by opposition elements and the official flag of the country seems to be making a political statement that I'm not sure this project wants to make. Of course, I could be wrong. Shall we discuss? Tiamuttalk 19:34, 28 July 2012 (UTC)
- The most neutral thing to do would be to replace it with a map of the country, instead of just putting the flag of the current regime up. There is no rule that states that Wikiprojects have to use national flags, and this one seems to be particularly troublesome. Gryffindor (talk) 07:32, 12 January 2013 (UTC)

Replace the image with File:Flag of the Syrian revolution.svg, since that's the flag used by the project (and on Syria) now. Glades12 (talk) 19:03, 16 December 2024 (UTC)
- Done per Talk:Syria#RfC: Flag?. I recognize that this is a changing environment, but going with the current RFC consensus seems reasonable. A nice, recognizable map or some other more permanent symbol might work better; see the above discussion. – Jonesey95 (talk) 04:52, 17 December 2024 (UTC)
