Formatting issues with FA star

[edit]

I don't know what the history of this template is, but it doesn't appear that enough testing was done on its formatting within articles for which GA/FA stars or spoken version icons are displayed, since the flag overlaps all of them. Until this is fixed, I think the template should be discarded from all articles for which this is a problem. Y2Kcrazyjoker4 (talkcontributions) 01:08, 2 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This template serves no purpose!

[edit]

There is no such thing as Irish English spelling. Yes, pronunciation is very distinct and there are local words and expressions not found elsewhere, but when it comes to spelling, all of Ireland uses standard British English spelling rules. See article about Hiberno-English. So this template serves no practical purpose. Thomas Blomberg (talk) 02:22, 28 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

So this about spelling. Any other language differences? (like: UK=football, US=soccer). Note that this template is intentionally used on "wikipedia articles written in Hiberno-English"; see the What links here-list. -DePiep (talk) 11:29, 29 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Maintenance categories need fixing due to the move

[edit]

Category:All Wikipedia articles written in Hiberno-English now appears as a redlink on numerous articles. I'm not sure whether it's just a case of the category needing to be created, or whether Category:All Wikipedia articles written in Irish English does the same job.
