Potential screw-up[edit]

Tough, lots of inclusions not only on help pages. If the original version from Meta breaks whatever you're doing with {{Tiw}} please replace it by {{Tic}}.

{{Tiw}} used to be a redirection to {{Tic}} for some months (?), and I hope that the updated "real" {{Tiw}} from Meta is compatible with {{Tic}}, but "hope" isn't "sure". Sorry for the confusion, IIRC it was my misguided attempt to make {{Tiw}} "consistent" with {{Tim}}, but the "real" {{Tiw}} is a bit more sophisticated than {{Tim}}, it works with templates in any Wikipedia, not only the English Wikipedia. -- Omniplex 15:34, 12 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: please make your requested changes to the template's sandbox first; see WP:TESTCASES. Just because those pages don't currently exist doesn't mean you can't create them, and this change should be tested via sandbox before going live. Templates, due to their transclusion or substitution and the fact that every change is cascaded across every transclusion really should have all changes sandboxed to make sure they are right unless it is a simple punctuation or case fix. — {{U|Technical 13}} ^{(t • e • c)} 22:15, 24 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Also, I agree with Technical 13 - even if the template is now semi-protected, it's still a good idea to test changes in the sandbox before updating the main template.
