The order should be updated to Caudata. Urodela is the former order name, which has changed.

I would like the Order name to change from Urodela to the term Caudata because Caudata is used more commonly in modern taxonomy. At the very least, both names should appear there. Vangaljr27 (talk) 22:36, 10 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Not done for now. Caudata is marked as the parent of Urodela, as they are most often used for the total group and crown group respectively. If you have evidence that Caudata (total group) is more often given the rank of order, or that Caudata is used for the crown group more often than Urodela, please get consensus for the change (preferably informing Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Amphibians and Reptiles), as the change would affect several hundred pages in total.
