I want to move the Synapsida taxon as a class and not as an undetermined clade for non-mammalian representatives (except for the taxon Mammaliaformes and Mammalia). Prehistoricplanes (talk) 15:45, 21 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hello or good evening, can I move the Synapsida taxon as a class and not as a clade for all non-mammalian synapsids (except except for the Mammalia taxon) ? Prehistoricplanes (talk) 15:49, 23 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Not done for now: please establish a consensus for this alteration before using the {{edit template-protected}} template. Prehistoricplanes, two days on from the last time you asked, asking the same question gets you the same answer as Jonesey95 gave you. There's no discussion at Talk:Synapsid in the last 23 months. (edit conflict) Not done: Discuss and get consensus at Talk:Synapsid first. This means go to the page Talk:Synapsid, click "New Section", and lay out your arguments. If you are able to establish consensus, then the page Synapsid can be edited accordingly, and then this template can be edited to match the article. If I am misunderstanding your request or the content of the Synapsid page, let me know. – Jonesey95 (talk) 17:14, 23 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, i'm a new user in Wikipedia i want to know why we can't put the clade Synapsida always displayed for mammal like "reptiles". Because i see the history and i see this clade always put in every page abouts this creature (except for mammals). -Thanks (Jaimelesmandarines (talk) 11:41, 17 May 2020 (UTC)) Jaimelesmandarines (talk) 11:41, 17 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. – Jonesey95 (talk) 15:12, 17 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I am requesting this modification because all wiki pages in all languages cite the Synapsida taxon just above the Therapsida taxon. Even some animal classification site quotes the latter (Fossilworks etc ...) (Jaimelesmandarines (talk) 12:33, 18 May 2020 (UTC))[reply]

Change Synapsida, Amniota to Synapsida-Reptilia-Amniota. add Reptilia in between Synapsida and Amniota. Rapterian dog101 (talk) 12:19, 29 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Not done. Synapsids as reptiles is an early 20th century concept and no longer supported. It would need some major new work to revise the current thinking that they are a separate branch of amniotes. I'm going to revert your other edits on synapsids as reptiles. —  Jts1882 | talk  12:22, 29 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
