[edit]

Please change parent to Platytrochozoa rather than SpiraliaJmv2009 (talk) 11:07, 21 May 2018 (UTC) Jmv2009 (talk) 11:07, 21 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: please establish a consensus for this alteration before using the {{edit template-protected}} template. See my response here Galobtter (pingó mió) 12:44, 21 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Peter coxhead can you fix this too, pls? Jmv2009 (talk) 16:17, 27 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Um... Ideally the references for taxonomic placements should be secondary sources, or be based on clear community acceptance, not a couple of journal articles as at Platytrochozoa, especially since Galobtter has objected. Are there such refs? Peter coxhead (talk) 17:25, 27 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Peter coxhead I found German this one as an intermediate taxon between trochozoa/lophotrochozoa and spiralia.[1] Doesn't include mesozoa, specificaly. Jmv2009 (talk) 17:38, 27 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

If you search in Google Scholar (https://scholar.google.co.uk/scholar?hl=en&q=Platytrochozoa), it seems to me that the term is too little used to feature in the hierarchy of taxonomy templates. It's hard to argue that there's a broad consensus. Peter coxhead (talk) 18:04, 27 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Peter coxhead True, but it's the only name that exists, as far as I know.

Sure, but we don't need to include every intermediate clade, only those named clades for which there's evidence of fairly common use. I don't think this is the case here. Peter coxhead (talk) 19:28, 27 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
