Add Front Office personnel?
[edit]Someone (anonymous) added the Steelers Front Office personnel to this template, but the change was quickly undone by another user on the grounds that the template then didn't conform with the other SB templates. In my opinion, this information is valuable, since these executives share the responsibility for building a winning team. I agree that it will be difficult and time-consuming to compile this information for all 43 SB winners, but it can easily be tracked down for recent and future winners. It seems that the value of the additional information should trump the uniformity argument -- what value does the uniformity really add? What am I missing here?--Deejayk (talk) 00:07, 25 February 2009 (UTC)
- Looking at the championship navboxes across other sports (MLB, NBA, college basketball and football, non-US sports), there are no other examples that I found which show the inclusion of front office personel. I think the navboxes should demonstrate the on-field personel of a particular team and are not there to confer recognition on everyone who gets a ring. Additionally, the navboxes are a reflection of the active roster (players and coaches) at a particualr period of time. Looking at the current roster navboxes of NFL, MLB and NBA teams, none of them include front office personnel. Bottom line for me, the navboxes should only be for on-field personnel. Heck, I don't think the practice squad and IR players on this navbox should be on here either. As a suggestion, this question may be better served on the NFL Wikiproject talk page if you want to broaden the inquiry to other editors who may not be watching this page.
