Date processing

[edit]

It would be great if we could do some date processing with either {{date}} or #time: however when I tried to do it issues were caused by people including refs in the date field and I was unable to figure out away around this. Any ideas. --ben_b (talk) 07:35, 10 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Change "Rankings from" to "rankings from". Since if follows a semicolon, it is not sentence-initial, and doesn't need to be capitalized. Dicklyon (talk) 02:22, 27 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: please make your requested changes to the template's sandbox first; see WP:TESTCASES. When |date= is not present, the capital letter is appropriate. See {{2005 Big 12 Conference football standings}} for one of many examples. If you wanted to get fancy, you could test for |date=, but it may be easier to replace the semicolon with a line break. – Jonesey95 (talk) 04:23, 27 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for pointing that out. I'm not a template editor, so not able to figure out a better fix. Maybe you can help? Dicklyon (talk) 01:04, 28 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I changed the semicolon to a line break. We'll see if people complain. – Jonesey95 (talk) 03:26, 28 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
That looks good to me. Dicklyon (talk) 03:46, 28 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
