Template talk:Soccerbase manager
This is a template to generate links to Soccerbase for manager profiles.
Instructions
[edit]- Go to Soccerbase and search for the person you want
- Click on the correct link to go to the person's page. Be sure you're getting the right person
- The page URL should look like http://www.soccerbase.com/players_details.sd?managerid=#####, where "#####" indicates a number.
- Copy ONLY that number
- Add to the external links section the text:
- {{soccerbase (manager)|id=#####|name=Name}}
- where "#####" is the number you've copied, and "Name" is the person's name
Example
[edit]- Searching for "Alex Ferguson", you'll reach this page:
http://www.soccerbase.com/managers2.sd?managerid=48
- Copy "48" and then write: {{soccerbase (manager)|id=547|name=Alex Ferguson}}
The result is Alex Ferguson at Soccerbase
Changing a link
[edit]Can an admin please change the [[Soccerbase]] to [[Racing Post|Soccerbase]]
Also if possible doing the same for that template - {{Template:Soccerbase}} version
