I think the semi-protected case is incorrect – it should use {{if autoconfirmed}} instead of {{if IP}}. jlwoodwa (talk) 18:49, 20 October 2024 (UTC)
- @Jlwoodwa and Primefac: I started working on that in Template:Protected page maintenance message/sandbox, but it turns out this whole template is broken because {{If administrator}} doesn't take a second parameter. See Template talk:If administrator#Template doesn't work.
I'll go ahead and submit an edit request to MediaWiki:Group-sysop.css.Per MediaWiki talk:Common.css/Archive 19#Interface-protected edit request on 14 February 2022, the existence of a class that hides text from administrators is seen as an abuse risk. --Ahecht (TALK
PAGE) 00:44, 21 October 2024 (UTC) - Partly done: @Jlwoodwa and Primefac: I implemented my hacky workaround sandbox code so administrators will see "{{{1}}} or make an edit request" and changed the template to use {{If autoconfirmed}} instead of {{If IP}}. I also added a
|demo=
parameter for testcases and made the template specify a|type=
paramter for {{Submit an edit request/link}}. --Ahecht (TALK

Good call on the admin thing though. Primefac (talk) 10:02, 21 October 2024 (UTC)
