Template-protected edit request on 21 March 2019

The current color (#FDFD7F) for Template:Independent (United States)/meta/color is extremely bad as it violates MOS:CONTRAST. Thus, it needs to be changed to something like #E8E800. All I did was enter the current hex code in the Google Color Picker and then moved the picker to the right. Here's how my proposed color would appear in the infobox:

To be historically accurate, it would only make sense to differentiate between the Progressive Party (United States, 1912) and the Progressive Party (United States, 1924–34). While it is entirely possible that the 1924 party had green as its color, and I haven't confirmed that, the "party of Teddy Roosevelt" was identified with the color red. This can easily be found in the bulletins and ephemera of Roosevelt's campaign under the Party. For citations, see here-

@MSGJ: Thanks Martin. I was originally going to give it a simple #ff0000 red since it seems that different different shades were used. But if I had to approximate it to a specific hue, I would say #b63434 should get the job done. Of course I leave this to your discretion. Could an editor with WP:TPE please change the HTML color codes for both the Democratic & Republican parties? My proposed color change for the Democrats' shade of blue is  #00AEF3 , per Democrats.org. My proposed color change for the GOP's shade of red is  #E62D33 , per GOP.com Both color codes were extracted using the 'Inspect' tool in the new Microsoft Edge for Windows 10. @ProcrastinatingReader: Now that I've seen what the change looks like, I think it should be undone. There have been previous proposals to change the Democratic and Republican colors from the bright ones currently in use to the official, more muted shades, which have failed, such as at Template talk:Democratic Party (US)/meta/color. The official LP color is also muted compared to what we were using before, which doesn't look good next to bright red and blue, such as at 2020 United States presidential election#Libertarian Party nomination. It looks like this had also been discussed previously on a talk page that I'd missed: Template talk:Libertarian Party (US)/meta/color. Party colour change

Not sure it this can be done to parties outside of the US (as most of the requests in this talk page are oriented towards American parties), but please change the party colour of Voice – Social Democracy from the current one to #ff3132 as it suits the party's branding and colour scheme much more.
