1957 end date[edit]
This template ends in 1957 because it is intended only to encompass the period when there was no MLB in the Western USA. During the 1903-1957 period, the PCL was the highest level of baseball played in the Western USA. MLB came to the West in 1958, and at that point the LA and SF teams from the PCL folded.
