Quotation marks

[edit]

Useful. But I think it would look better if it didn't create the link in quotation marks... Ingolfson (talk) 10:09, 12 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. The quotes are inherited from {{cite web}}, I don't feel one way or the other about them, other than I'd like to keep it consistent with other references using cite web. One solution is to add a noquotes or "bare link" parameter, like for when it's used as an external link. XLerate (talk) 11:58, 12 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
That would be good. I saw it on Grafton Bridge in the references, and it just looks odd. Ingolfson (talk) 07:28, 14 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Done, putting a value in the fourth parameter switches off cite web - e.g. {{NZHPT|register no.|link text||y}}. XLerate (talk) 23:16, 14 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Archiveurl

[edit]

Could we please have two optional parameters defined for this template? When a building gets removed from the register, NZHPT take the respective page down (which is most annoying). The following parameters could be used to address this problem:

| archiveurl  =
| archivedate =

Code needs adjusting

[edit]

I've noticed that when there's a space between the ID number and the next |, it adds "&m=advanced" to the resulting title in the ref. That's part of the older URLs that NZHPT used to have; they are no longer using advanced pages. For the template to do this is undesirable, and the underlying code will probably need tidying up. Who can help? Schwede66 18:18, 16 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Author and date

[edit]

Some heritage listings include an author and date now. It would be good to update the template to allow this information. Traumnovelle (talk) 02:30, 30 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Can you link to an example entry, please, so that we can see the format? Schwede66 05:00, 30 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Click 'details', then click 'detailed list entry' then open 'reference' [1] Traumnovelle (talk) 06:09, 30 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
