Asterisk

[edit]

This template should not emit a leading asterisk. Such behaviour is unusual, and most editors are not aware of it and add the asterisk anyway – which leads some gnomes to remove it. The problem is that it's now 15 years since the template was created, and I can't think of any way to search for its uses without an asterisk. The only way to resolve it is to remove it from the template, as was done in the German version by User:FordPrefect42 in 2010, and look out for breakages and complaints. Or maybe a bot could be written searching for {{NMA|…}} without a preceding asterisk and add it. -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 12:25, 30 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I've now implemented a parameter |bullet=no which will omit the leading bullet. -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 05:34, 8 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
