Thanks for this nice template, which I am busily adding to relevant pages. Is there any reason why you've missed out Cañar? It's in the Andalucian Statistical Institute database so I assume it's a bona fide municipality, though it is certainly only a tiny off the road place. On the assumption that I'm right, I've added it, though by all means take it out again if there is some authority that I'm not aware of for excluding it. seglea 21:31, 26 April 2006 (UTC)
- oh, I've just seen the issue, I'd missed an accent, it should be Cáñar, which was already there. Is it right to sort the accented vowels at the end of the alphabet - I thought the Spanish language academies had now agreed not to do this sort of thing? seglea 22:53, 26 April 2006 (UTC)
- I believe that the alphasorting should basically ignore accented vowels, since alphasorting should follow english conventions. Sometimes (such as for categories) the alphasorting needs to be overridden to reflect this, by using a pipe trick (eg [[Cáñar|Cañar]]).--cjllw | TALK 02:02, 29 May 2006 (UTC)
- I've now resorted ignoring accents and tildes. seglea 22:10, 2 July 2006 (UTC)

I have changed the name of "Padul" to the official "El Padul". This theme can cause some controverse, since it appears only "Padul" in the National Statistic Institute. However, according to the Art. 50.4 of the Regulations of Organization and Functioning of Local Entities (Royal Decree 2568/1986), the competence about changing the official name of municipalties falls to the plenary of the town council. According to this law, the plenary of the town council of El Padul unanimously decided to take the name of "El Padul" as the official of this town on 18 of December of 2000. Currently, higher institutions as Junta de Andalucía and the Spanish Government are proccessing this decision of the town council of El Padul.Jadelmo (talk) 15:01, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
