Hi @Hayman30: I appreciate that you're trying to contribute to Wikipedia, but your creation of this template partially breaks content. First off, the opening infobox of the article relates to Google Play as a service. We have a dedicated section for the Play Store Android app, which already features its release version. Secondly, a dedicated section for Google Play Services should be created for its release version, and not the main article infobox, as it provides no explanatory text for what Google Play Services is. I would normally revert you for WP:BRD, but this created a new article, which causes issues in terms of a deletion discussion being necessary... I do, however, want to nominate the article for deletion. I then want to create a new section for Play Services, which would feature a dedicated infobox for that. We already have a section for Play Store app, so that's already a done deal. Do you agree with me on that? LocalNet (talk) 21:37, 27 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Hi again @Hayman30: Thank you so much for your understanding! You know what, moving the template might actually fix the problem on its own. I didn't even think about that. I've created a new section in the article specifically for Google Play Services. It has an infobox in it. If we rename/move this template to Template:Latest stable software release/Google Play Services, it might move to that infobox automatically, bypassing the deletion process. That's speculation on my part, and it might not work, but hey, let's give it a shot :) Do you know how to move the template? Because I don't, unfortunately... @LocalNet: I was thinking to keep this template, remove the services branch and use it in the infobox here. Then, I'll add back the stable release of Google Play Services that I deleted from this template to the infobox here. Preview release is already there as I've moved the preview releases template for Google Play Services to the new namespace. Neither do we have to move or delete this template. You can learn how to move a page here. Thank you. Hayman30 (talk) 07:55, 28 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Hayman30: Ahh OK. That's good, I agree, that works! Doesn't this page have to be moved, though? How do we get it from the article infobox to the Play Store on Android infobox? LocalNet (talk) 08:01, 28 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@LocalNet: Yeah I was about to say that. We do need to move this page to Template:Latest stable software release/Play Store in order to get it into the infobox automatically. I will be moving this page in a few minutes, as well as making some minor edits to the infobox here to make way for the template.
@LocalNet: I'm glad that we've reached a consensus, Wikipedia is supposed to be like this. By the way, don't worry about the releases in the main infobox on Google Play, I've removed the redirects and nominated those pages for speedy deletion (here and here), they should be gone now.
