@Trappist the monk: why does this template produce the link Koinē Greek when the article is at Koine Greek? The associated cat Category:Articles containing Koinē Greek-language text should also probably be at Category:Articles containing Koine Greek-language text instead. – Finnusertop (talkcontribs) 00:14, 19 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I proposed that series of templates at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Languages/Archive 14 § Overhauling the lang-xx templates for more selective italics behavior. I got the language name details from the Library of Congress MARC 21 standard (LOC is the ISO 639-2 custodian). There was no objection to those names.

Change ē to e

[edit]

The article Koine Greek is without ē and does not even mention that it can be spelled like that. Just because there was not objection to spelling it with ē back then does not mean it should not be changed now.--Marginataen (talk) 20:51, 3 June 2023 (UTC) Can the ē letter please be replaced in the template?--Marginataen (talk) 09:28, 7 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
