Height

[edit]

Can we please change "Height" to "Mast/tower height"? There is a lot more to these places than just the antenna support structure. --Harumphy 13:06, 20 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I've added a height2 parameter for towers as opposed to masts. --Harumphy (talk) 06:48, 17 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

UK only?

[edit]

Why UK only, the rest of the world has transmitter masts too. Some of them even get articles on Wikipedia. The infobox should be redesigned so that it is not UK-centric and useable worldwide. A rename would then be in order. Mjroots (talk) 08:51, 13 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The template needs to be UK-specific because some of the parameters are UK-specific. However, there's nothing to stop you cloning the template to make a worldwide version and stripping out the UK-specific stuff.--Harumphy (talk) 07:20, 17 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I think we can just add extra parameters if needed. Secretlondon (talk) 19:45, 30 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Now international?

[edit]

This has been moved to Template:Infobox transmitter at some point and I'm planning on using it for some non-UK LW radio transmitters which need a box, such as Bod Transmitter and the others on List of longwave radio broadcasters. Secretlondon (talk) 19:42, 30 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
