Adding Time of Revelation
[edit]I suggest adding a new row for the time of revelation of a sura. Presently only Medianian and Meccan are mentioned. The time could be in Hijri or Gregorian calender. - Amanbd — Preceding unsigned comment added by Amanbd (talk • contribs) 12:16, 18 June 2012 (UTC)
- I agree with this. Chongkian (talk) 03:01, 11 March 2021 (UTC)

Arabic wikisource
[edit]Why not link the Arabic text to the Arabic Wikisource, they have texts for all of the suras? --80.184.111.128 (talk) 16:17, 7 February 2014 (UTC)

[edit]can you put both the surah name and number in the surah switcher buttons? Abo Yemen✉ 12:06, 25 November 2024 (UTC)
- @Abo Yemen Hi, please inspect. Thanks, Hooman Mallahzadeh (talk) 12:29, 25 November 2024 (UTC)
- Just saw it and it looks good. Jazakallah Abo Yemen✉ 12:32, 25 November 2024 (UTC)
- @Abo Yemen: Assalamualaykum brothers. Happy to see Minshawi's recitations uploaded to finish the completion of the audio recitations for every chapter. It seems like many of my recitations that I've personally uploaded are in place of Minshawi's recitations (from chapter 114 - chapter 23). Would the consensus be to replace my recitations with Minshawi's, or are the current recitations already submitted for these chapters are fine to be there? Would like to develop an agreement now before proceeding. I'll continue to upload the mujawwad recitations for each chapter and upload all recitations on Wikimedia Commons (more recorded recitations, the better). Note that many of the recent recitations (2024/mid to late 2023) are acceptable/very good in terms of tajweed (as I've studied under several ustadhs and been written off as having good/acceptable tajweed), but the older ones before need to be re-done - which is what I'm actively working on. Jazakallahu khaiyrun for all of your works and I'm open for your thoughts! —Atcovi (Talk - Contribs) 20:00, 25 November 2024 (UTC)
- @Atcovi Assalamualaykum. About the type of audio recitation, please discuss at talk page of this template here. But if you want to replace a recitation with Minshawi's which is the default one, you can use | audio = argument. See An-Nasr recitation for example.
- I propose to list all famous recitations available for each surah. For example, these main Qira'ahs and others:
- Which are the most famous Qiraahs (and other famous ones) all can be included in this template, possibly in hidden/show template to reduce size of infobox. Jazakallahu. Hooman Mallahzadeh (talk) 05:29, 26 November 2024 (UTC)
- @Atcovi Your newer recitations can stay if they're higher quality than the minshawi recitations Abo Yemen✉ 14:48, 26 November 2024 (UTC)
- No problem. Thank you both for the input. I'll continue uploading my recitations onto the articles and we can discuss diversifying the recitations on the template once that becomes relevant. I'll start a discussion there when that takes place and we can discuss ways on including the recitations from AbdusSamad, Hussary, and Ismail. —Atcovi (Talk - Contribs) 15:42, 26 November 2024 (UTC)
- Good luck akhi. Ill be moving this discussion to the template's talkpage Abo Yemen✉ 16:14, 26 November 2024 (UTC)

Number and name of surah
[edit]@Sumanuil Hi. "Quran 2" is somehow ambiguous. In my opinion "2: Al-Baqara" is better.
Additionally, these changes in codes cause a cycle in surahs of Quran, i.e., before Al-Fatiha is Quran 114 and after Al-Nas is Quran 1. So these codes are not suitable here. Hooman Mallahzadeh (talk) 06:48, 6 December 2024 (UTC)
- should've established consensus before reverting all that Abo Yemen✉ 06:52, 6 December 2024 (UTC)
The problem was that the edits in question had expression errors. Is there some way to fix this without such errors? Sumanuil. (talk to me) 07:36, 6 December 2024 (UTC)
- @Sumanuil Done Please inspect. Hooman Mallahzadeh (talk) 07:53, 6 December 2024 (UTC)
- Ok, that's better. Sumanuil. (talk to me) 07:56, 6 December 2024 (UTC)
Showing the first page of Surah in Infobox
[edit]Hi, is this edit for showing first page of Surah acceptable? For example see Al-Fajr (surah). Hooman Mallahzadeh (talk) 08:16, 6 December 2024 (UTC)
- Well, it's working from the technical side. Sumanuil. (talk to me) 08:50, 6 December 2024 (UTC)
