Assess : newly added and existing articles, maybe nominate some good B-class articles for GA; independently assess some as A-class, regardless of GA status.
Cleanup : * Sport governing body (this should-be-major article is in a shameful state) * Field hockey (History section needs sources and accurate information - very vague at the moment.) * Standardize Category:American college sports infobox templates to use same font size and spacing. * Sport in the United Kingdom - the Popularity section is incorrect and unsourced. Reliable data is required.
* Fix project template and/or "to do list" Current version causes tables of content to be hidden unless/until reader chooses "show."
The primary source for the Florida Gators coaches and their tenures listed in this navbox was the 2015 record book of the Gators track and field programs posted on the former GatorZone.com website: [1], a version of which was retrieved from the Google cache of the webpage on December 17, 2015. In searching the Google News Archive and other online newspaper archives to complete and verify the list of Gators women's coaches and their tenures, I found conflicting evidence from the 2015 Gators record book and contemporary newspaper accounts for the tenures of Carol Thomson Slowik and Lyle Knudson. The starting date for Thomson-Slowik was apparently 1980, but the record book lists her final year as head coach as 1981. I found contemporary newspaper articles, including The Gainesville Sun, which indicated she was still the head coach of the Lady Gator track team in 1983. See, e.g., Brent Woronoff, "Florida Relay Team Sets Meet Record," The Gainesville Sun (March 19, 1983). I also found newspaper articles from 1983 that referred to Lyle Knudson as the "associate coach," seemingly indicating that both Slowik and Knudson were coaching the Lady Gators at the same time. In the navbox, I have relied on the contemporary newspaper accounts, but this may be inaccurate. I will continue to search the newspaper archives for a definitive answer, in the mean time, caveat lector. Dirtlawyer1 (talk) 23:24, 17 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
