Some edits and removals

[edit]

I have removed the reference to the 'Great Hits Live - Live at Great Woods' as this is not, as far as I am aware, an official video/dvd release. I believe this to be a bootleg, and therefore has no place in this template. If someone can verify that it is in-fact an official release, feel free to put it back, but please create a main page complete with verification and release details.

I've also removed the Bjorn Again link from 'related articles'. Unless ALL artists that have ever released an Erasure cover version (eg Wheatus, Dollar) get referenced, I don't think it makes sense to just have this one. It does make more sense however to have a link to Yazoo, so...

Added link to the Yazoo (band) page!

Pop! Remixed is an album

[edit]

Pop Remixed is technically an album, and should perhaps at least be moved to the 'compilations' section?

Okay - I've now moved Pop! Remixed into the compilations section as technically, according to UK chart eligibility rules, it would have been classed as an album - it has more than 4 different songs and runs for more than 25 minutes without repetition of songs via remixes (includes 9 different songs in total) (Chart eligibility rules found here: http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Album). However, I wonder if 'remix albums' need their own section? Opwerty (talk) 12:01, 27 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I have reinstated Pop! Remixed into the EPs section; had completely ignored the 4 track download bundle, which was eligible as a single! I'm correct about the 10/11 track version though, so it remains in 'Compilations' as well (and Always, the lead track, is listed in Singles!) Opwerty (talk) 10:28, 1 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not convinced though that this, and The Two Ring Circus, should be regarded a compilation. Compilations gather previously released material. As these feature NEW mixes and not old mixes, I feel they need treating differently. Not sure how at the moment though. In albums? Union Street is in there, and that features new versions of old songs... Opwerty (talk) 10:28, 1 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Remove EPs from singles section?

[edit]

I'm also not convinced by the inclusion of certain releases in the 'Singles' section. The duration of some of the latter day EPs were technically too long to be classed as singles (by UK chart eligibility rules), and should perhaps be limited to the EPs section only.
