"What I Am"
[edit]Yes it was "Tin Tin Out featuring Emma Bunton", and yes it was released before A Girl Like Me, and yes it was a single taken from Tin Tin Out's album, but it is a fact that it is on the album A Girl Like Me, and should therefore be included next to A Girl Like Me. Many singles are included on albums that were released a long time later. In fact it should be added to the infobox of the album's article. It's easily comparable to any winner of The X Factor - they win and release a single straight away, and then release an album 9 months later without that original single in mind. Sometimes it's included on the album and sometimes it isn't. It might be a bonus track. But on Wikipedia, we still say it's a single from that album. - Including "What I Am" next to A Girl Like Me would appear like its a single from it. If the template mentions "Albums and songs", it would be fine to include "What I Am" next to A Girl Like Me because its an album track from that album, but no. The label is "Albums and singles" and "What I Am" is definitely not a single from A Girl Like Me. Its a single that Bunton was featured as a "featured artist" just like "I Know Him So Well" and there's a separate section for featured singles. If Emma Bunton releases a greatest hits album and "I Know Him So Well" is included in that greatest hits album, are you now gonna put "I Know Him So Well" next to that album?--SuperHotWiki (talk) 01:23, 31 October 2013 (UTC)
- Its also a misinformation to include the featuring artist's album in the single's infobox like as if its a single from the featuring artist' album. If it wasn't released a single to that singer's album, it isn't a single from it. Unless its the case for the Saturdays' album Living for the Weekend, where they released 4 singles before the album's release and they aren't credited as a "featuring artist" on those singles. Bunton is credited as a featuring artist in the single releas of What I Am and back in 1999, it wasn't released as a single from Bunton's upcoming debut album. --SuperHotWiki (talk) 01:26, 31 October 2013 (UTC)
- It's on the album, and it was a single. You appear to have ignored my arguments. Greatest hits albums are different from studio albums and I'm in no way suggesting that we put any single that features on a greatest hits album as a single from that album. Perhaps it would be better to have one list of albums and one list of singles. It's not as if she's released 60 singles. It would take up less space that the template currently does. But just to also reply to "it wasn't released as a single from Bunton's upcoming debut album" - the album didn't exist then so how could it be? The fact that it was included on that album makes it comparable to Leona Lewis's "A Moment Like This", and such similar songs that were released before an album was created - regardless of the fact that it's "Tin Tin Out featuring Emma Bunton". In fact on the album it doesn't mention Tin Tin Out in the track listing - I checked. –anemoneprojectors– 12:11, 31 October 2013 (UTC)
- So you now think A Moment Like This is a single from Spirit? Not just no. Not all singles that made it to a studio album's tracklist is automatically a single from it.--SuperHotWiki (talk) 03:04, 1 November 2013 (UTC)
- That's what the articles say: Leona Lewis discography, Spirit (Leona Lewis album) and A Moment Like This. And indeed, Template:Leona Lewis. The situation with "What I Am" is no different to the situation with "A Moment Like This", "Against All Odds", "That's My Goal", "When You Believe", "Hallelujah", "The Climb", "When We Collide" or "Impossible". –anemoneprojectors– 10:29, 1 November 2013 (UTC)
- Then that's wrong and in the Leona Lewis template, those songs aren't labeled as singles. Its a different case here where it clearly states "Albums and singles".--SuperHotWiki (talk) 01:15, 2 November 2013 (UTC)

No, it's not wrong. But why not this:
? Then there's no arguments about what album a song belongs to (although Louis Erisson appears to agree with me). –anemoneprojectors– 11:32, 2 November 2013 (UTC)
- I have no issue with that whatsover.--SuperHotWiki (talk) 02:52, 3 November 2013 (UTC)
- In that case, done! Seems like a good compromise. –anemoneprojectors– 19:06, 3 November 2013 (UTC)
