Defunct teams

Here is a list of defunct teams and what I believe happened to each. Have not found references for this, however:

Arroceros (1974-1977): There is currently a provincial team in Sancti Spíritus named Arroceros. I believe this team became Sancti Spíritus for the 17th Serie Nacional (1977-1978)
Azucareros (1961-1964, 1967-1977): This team was based in Santa Clara, Cuba and was quite successful. I believe it turned into Villa Clara for the 1977-1978 season.
Cafetaleros (1974-1977): There is currently a provincial team in Guantánamo named Cafetaleros. I believe this team turned into Guantánamo for the 17th Serie Nacional (1977-1978).
Centrales (1965-1967): Closely related to Azucareros, above, this team name existed briefly and seems to have played in Santa Clara.
Citricultores (1974-1992): One of two successful teams from Matanzas (along with Henequeneros) that merged to become Matanzas in 1992-1993.
Constructores (1972-1977): Seems that this was the name of Isla de la Juventud for a few years. See also Isla de Pinos, below.
Forestales (1975-1992): This was one of two teams in Pinar del Río (along with Vegueros) which merged to become Pinar del Río in 1992-1993.
Ganaderos (1974-1977): Briefly tenured team name which I believe was based in Camagüey for the three seasons when Camagüey didn't have a team named Camagüey!
Granjeros (1964-1967): Based in Camagüey, was merged into that team in the 1977-1978 contraction.
Henequeneros (1965-1966, 1967-1992): Extremely successful team from Henequeneros, Matanzas province which long with Citricultores merged to form Matanzas in 1977.
Isla de Pinos (1977-1978): One year team name before Isla de la Juventud stuck. See Constructores, above.
Las Villas (1966-1974): Based in Villa Clara province (when it was still named Las Villas province, I believe), this team was contemporaneous with Azucarerors (above).
Mineros (1967-1977): Again, there is a second division/developmental team in Holguín which has this name. My guess is that this team was from there before the reorganization in 1977.
Occidentales (1967-1974): Not clear where this team is, but my guess is that it was the Habana province team during its existence.
Orientales/Oriente (1961-1974): This team definitely played in Santiago de Cuba and I believe it eventially became Serranos and then Santiago de Cuba.
Serranos (1972-1977): This team had a brief tenure and I am pretty sure it played in SdC. If so, it probably started off independently, had Oriente collapse into it in 1975, and then became Santiago de Cuba in 1977.
Vegueros: The successful team from Pinar del Río in the days when there were two teams.
