The template is useful - but breaks fairly clear rules on having "blue links" next to each other, eg

*{{cite EU directive | serial = 2008/164/EC | year = | date = 21 December 2007 | description = concerning the technical specification of interoperability relating to persons with reduced mobility in the trans-European conventional and high-speed rail system | eurlextag = CELEX:32008D0164:EN:NOT }}

produces this;

I think it should produce something more like (ie closer to template:cite web)

The example given here (and in the preceding talk page section) is dead. I guess EUR-LEX changed its structure. Hairy Dude (talk) 00:52, 30 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
