Usage

Place {{WikiProject St. Louis}} on the article's talk page. It is also possible to indicate an assessment of the article by including importance and quality as named parameters. For example, a start quality, low priority article can be marked with {{WikiProject St. Louis|class=Start|importance=Low}}.

It is also possible to indicate the WikiProject St. Louis working group associated with the article. For example, {{WikiProject St. Louis|class=B|importance=High|wg=Neighborhoods}} marks a B-class quality, high priority article associated with the history working group.

Full syntax: either

Optional parameters

• class – valid values are fa, a, ga, b, c, start, stub, fl, list, category, portal, template, na (case-insensitive). See the project's quality scale for details. Setting an explicit value of NA is rarely necessary; for this, either leave |class= blank or omit the parameter.
• importance – valid values are: top, high, mid, low, na (case-insensitive). See the project's importance scale for details. Setting an explicit value of NA is rarely necessary; for this, either leave |importance= blank or omit the parameter.
• listas – This parameter, which is the equivalent of the DEFAULTSORT sortkey that should be placed on all biographical articles, is a sortkey for the article talk page (e.g. for Auguste Chouteau, use |listas=Chouteau, Auguste so that the talk page will show up in the C's and not the A's of the various assessment and administrative categories). This is important because it is one source used by those who set DEFAULTSORT on the article; consider also setting the DEFAULTSORT for the article when setting this parameter.   If the article is using {{WikiProject banner shell}} then it is preferable to add |listas= to that template instead of a project banner template. Putting the parameter on more than one template is not required.
• wg – this parameter is used to set the working group associated with the article and place the talk page in an appropriate category, e.g. |wg=ARCHITECT
  • ARCHITECT or ARCHITECTURE – (Architecture); populates Category:WikiProject St. Louis Architecture working group
  • CUISINE or FOOD or HIPHOP or MUSIC or CULTURE – (Culture); populates Category:WikiProject St. Louis Culture working group
  • ECON or ECONOMY – (Economy); populates Category:WikiProject St. Louis Economy working group
  • EDU or EDUCATION – (Education); populates Category:WikiProject St. Louis Education working group
  • GEO or GEOGRAPHY – (Geography); populates Category:WikiProject St. Louis Geography working group
  • HIST or HISTORY – (History); populates Category:WikiProject St. Louis History working group
  • LMS or LANDMARKS – (Landmarks); populates Category:WikiProject St. Louis Landmarks working group

• category – set |category=no if, and only if, a banner is being used for demonstration or testing purposes, to prevent unnecessary or undesirable categorization. Otherwise, omit this parameter.

Aliases

• The third positional parameter is recognised as an alias for |wg=. If both |wg= and the positional parameter are present, there may be unexpected results.
• The first and second positional parameters, if present, are always ignored regardless of other parameters.
