The {{WikiProject Scouting}} project banner template should be added (notsubst:ed) to the talk page of every article within the scope of the project. While the template does not require any additional parameters, it has a number of optional ones that add various extra features to the banner. The full syntax is as follows:
class = FA, A, GA, B, C, Start, Stub, Image, Template, Category, or NA
importance = Top, High, Mid, or Low
attention= yes if the article is in significant need of attention
listas=how you want this listed in sorts such as categories, this should match the DEFAULTSORT used in the article or an error will be generated. Names should be Last, First Middle (or middle initial).
past-collaboration = if this applies, add appropriate month/year in format: May 2007
past-selected = if this applies, add appropriate month/year in format: May 2007
past-biography = if this applies, add appropriate month/year in format: May 2007
GGGS-task-force = yes if the article pertains specifically to Girl Guides or Girl Scouts
Philmont-task-force = yes if the article pertains specifically to Philmont Scout Ranch
To avoid needlessly cluttering up talk pages, it is usually appropriate to remove any unused parameters from the template.
