Template:United States topic/geographical categories
Usage
For use within geographical unit category templates such as {{Rivers of the United States}} that are based on the generic {{United States topic}} template.
Formats a horizontal list of links to appear in the footer of the category template. The links are to geographical unit categories for the U.S. state category in which this template in being displayed. The list helps editors who want to flip between categories for rivers, mountains, lakes etc. for a given U.S. state. These include:
- Category:Mountain ranges of state name
- Category:Mountains of state name
- Category:Mountain passes of state name
- Category:Template:Valleys of state name
- Category:Template:Rivers of state name
- Category:Template:Lakes of state name
- Category:Template:Reservoirs in state name
- Category:Template:Islands of state name
- Category:Template:Beaches of state name
Categories are only included in the list if they exist. For example, South Dakota does not have any beaches, so the list would not include a redlink to Category:Beaches of South Dakota.
Parameters
