When to use the template
[edit] | This template links to statutelaw.gov.uk, which has been replaced by Legislation.gov.uk. {{Cite legislation UK}} is generally preferable, and the 'section' parameter lets you link to a specific section. |
This template should be used to link to the official text of part of a UK statute. Where the link is to the whole of a UK statute, the template Template:UK-LEG may be more appropriate.
How to use the template
[edit]There are three arguments:
- ActiveTextDocID Number from the URL when viewing the statute, part or provision
- Text of the hyperlink
- Optional Version number. Use this only when showing how a statute stood at a particular time and not when you want a link to the statute for the time being.
