Template:Transclude xfd/doc

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Usage

[edit]

{{Transclude xfd|venue|2=nominatedpage|3=date}}

This template is intended to be used at WP:deletion sorting so venues other than AfD and MfD can be transcluded. AfD and MfD are not supported. For those venues, transcluding the discussion directly is possible with {{Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/...}} or {{Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/...}}.

The template automatically accounts for the default section names that the templates {{subst:cfd2}}, {{subst:ffd2}}, {{subst:rfd2}}, {{subst:tfd2}}, {{subst:drv2}} and {{subst:move review list}} use. If the |header= parameter of those templates was used to specify a custom header, this feature can be disabled by setting customheader= to any value. Also, if the venue parameter is not recognised, it is used as the name of the page. This means that transcluding e.g. a WP:RM can be done like {{transclude xfd|Talk:Twitter|2=Requested move 17 May 2024}} which will transclude Talk:Twitter#Requested move 17 May 2024. However, a better solution in that case would be to use WP:SELTRANS directly: {{transcluded section|Talk:Twitter}}{{trim|{{#section-h:Talk:Twitter|Requested move 17 May 2024}}}}.
