Template:T&Fcalc/doc

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Usage

[edit]

This template is for usage in track and field articles to convert athlete performances from metres to feet and inches. It is for use in track and field athlete biographies, lists of statistical records, or other such appropriate articles.

World Athletics rules stipulate that internationally acceptable performances should be recorded in metres, regardless of the typical units of measurement used in that location. The accuracy of performances in feet and inches is down to the nearest whole quarter-inch.

Examples

[edit]

The template only has one field, which should be the distance in metres, entered within the template following a vertical bar ( | ).
