From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Usage

[edit]

This template is part of a group of templates that are used to display information about a specific star. The list should always have {{Starbox begin}} as the first in the list, while the list should have {{Starbox end}} as the last in the list. This particular template can be used as follows:

{{Starbox image
| image = <!--image location, formatted as "[[File:Example.jpg|250px]]"-->
| caption = <!--caption (optional)-->
| credit = <!--credit for image if the image's use requires them (optional)-->
}}

If you are overlaying a mark on a constellation map, the {{Location mark}} template is recommended for consistent positioning. For example:

{{Starbox image
 | image=
   {{Location mark
     | image=Example constellation map.svg
     | float=center | width=250 | position=right
     | mark=Red circle.svg | mark_width=10 | mark_link=ι Exa
     | x%=87.9 | y%=52.0
   }}
 | caption=Location of ι Example (circled)
}}

The following templates are used together and are usually placed in the order listed below.

{{Starbox begin}}
{{Starbox image}}
{{Starbox observe}}
{{Starbox observe 2s}}
{{Starbox observe 3s}}
{{Starbox character}}
{{Starbox astrometry}}
{{Starbox orbit}}
{{Starbox detail}}
{{Starbox relpos}}
{{Starbox catalog}}
{{Starbox reference}}
{{Starbox sources}}
{{Starbox end}}
