Template:NZ school roll data
Appearance
Usage
This template is to supply uniform, up-to-date school roll data to New Zealand school articles. It facilitates a mass update of all the roll numbers in articles. It functions the same as Template:NZ population data, except school MOE numbers are used instead of population centre names.
The aim is to update the data every April, August and December to coincide with the March, July and November roll returns.
Syntax
{{NZ school roll data|27|y|y|y|a|b}}
The template has four main parameters:
- MOE number = the schools' Ministry of Education institution number (in this example, 27 for Long Bay College; other examples: 312 for Rangiora High School, 533 for Mount Aspiring College).
- show roll = shows the school roll figure (e.g. 1782). The MOE number is required for the roll to display.
- show date= shows the date of the roll count (e.g. August 2024).
- show ref= shows the reference for the roll count. It can subsequently be reused by adding:
<ref name="NZ_school_roll_data"/>
- title pre= inserts text between the roll and the date (e.g. "students as of", open bracket, etc.).
- title post= inserts text between the date and the reference (e.g. a full stop, close bracket, etc.).
Leaving a show parameter empty results in that value being hidden.
If a roll count fails to display
- Check you have the correct MOE number and show roll is set to y.
- Check the school is not a Teen Parent Unit - their rolls are returned with their host school.
- If the school is new or has recently merged, the new roll information may not be included in the template until the next update.
- Check the school is still open.
