Template:Medcom category/doc

This page is placed as the only content on a category description page, and serves to display several notices about the category. The template will first show {{Medcom menu}}, which has links to important pages about the formal mediation process. The template will then show a messagebox with information about the category and links to the major sub-categories. The template can also display {{Possibly empty category}} if so wished.

Lastly, the template will display a brief blurb about the category if one is posted in the correct format to Template:Medcom category/leads.

Usage

The following should be the only content on a category information page:

To have some additional text (for example, on Category:Mediation Committee rejected requests an explanation about rejected requests and the Index of Archives) display underneath the message boxes, add the text to Template:Medcom category/leads (edit) in the same format as the other entries. The template will then display that text on the category information page. Collating category blurbs on the one page allows for easy editing and maintenance of the full collection of category guidance.

The template can take an additional parameter and value of |empty=yes if you would like it to display the {{Possibly empty category}} template. Lastly, including this template on a category will make it a sub-category of Category:Wikipedia Mediation Committee (except when it is used on that category, in which case this category will not be included).
