Changing Dot colors (ie. status change)

[edit]

The dot color is related to the current status of the temple, (e.g. Operating temples, Temples under construction, etc.) The dot color is automatically updated by the current "Status" on the data page for the temple (e.g. Template:LDS Temple/TEMPLENAME)

For example, to change the Salt Lake Temple from "closed" to "operating" you would need to go to Template:LDS Temple/Salt Lake Temple and change the "status" field:
 from
  | status = closed
 to
  | status = operating

However, the default is "operating".

Adding Temples

[edit]

All Temples are listed alphabetically. Locate the correct alphabetical spot and add:
  {{Image label|x= "the X location" |y= "the Y location" |scale={{{width|"the default size"}}}|text={{LDS Temple/"The Temple name"|format=List LDS Temple World Map/status}}}} [[The Temple name|The Display name]]

Dot Locations (ie X/Y)

[edit]

X and Y represent the percentages of the width and height respectively where the label will be placed. The exact point is the top-left corner of the image label.

x=0 |y=0 will place the top-left corner of the label at the top-left of the image
x=0 |y=1 will place the top-left corner of the label at the bottom-left of the image
x=1 |y=1 will place the top-left corner of the label at the bottom-right of the image
x=1 |y=0 will place the top-left corner of the label at the top-right of the image
x=0.5|y=0.5 will place the top-left corner of the label at the center of the image

Width/Scale

[edit]

All widths must be set to the same number. They must all be the same number for the template to be functionally scalable. This means they can be displayed at a different size by supplying a width parameter to the template when in use. For example, {{List LDS Temple World Map|width=500}} will display the labelled image as a smaller one of 500 pixels in width instead of 1000.

To change the default size, search and replace all occurrences of {{{width|current size}}} with {{{width|new size}}}
