Yu Xiangdou

  • ... that unlike most other publishers in the Ming dynasty, Yu Xiangdou enjoyed including illustrations of himself in his works?
  • Source: Extensively discussed in Son, Suyoung (2022). "Publisher at Work: Yu Xiangdou's Self-Images". Harvard Journal of Asiatic Studies. 82 (1): 37–76. doi:10.1353/jas.2022.0003.

  • New enough, long enough, well sourced, no policy issues. QPQ has been done. Hook is sourced, cited inline and interesting (probably more so for a general audience than talking about his version of the 水滸傳). The only thing I could ask for is a bit more context that explains when this was: could you either add an image or include "Ming dynasty" in the hook (or both)? @Kusma: yea and there's plenty more about his other publications which I decided not to include in the article for now just in case it got too bloated. Have tweaked the hook, thanks KINGofLETTUCE 👑 🥬 19:13, 2 February 2025 (UTC)
