[edit]

Yang Gang in 1945

  • ... that journalist Yang Gang (pictured) committed suicide after being forced to persecute her colleagues?

  • - Interesting article which I have copy edited. I have also added a third source which unfortunately creates doubt over her suicide. Could I suggest the alt below - but I think there are others possible Victuallers (talk) 08:36, 21 February 2014 (UTC)
  • (alt1) ... that journalist Yang Gang (pictured) reported on American racism and McCarthyism for a Chinese daily newspaper?
  • Thanks for copyediting and adding new sources. I read the sources and they don't really cast doubt on her suicide itself and the overall circumstances, only the reason. How about:
  • ALT2 ... that journalist Yang Gang (pictured) committed suicide after being forced to persecute her colleagues, but the reason for her suicide is disputed? -Zanhe (talk) 12:15, 26 February 2014 (UTC)
  • - Sorry for delay. There is only one source that disputes that it was a suicide. Could I suggest that he just changes the ending as this would allow for all the areas of doubt. Victuallers (talk) 12:37, 1 March 2014 (UTC)
  • ALT3 ... that journalist Yang Gang (pictured) committed suicide after being forced to persecute her colleagues, but the details are disputed?
  • I read the sources you added but couldn't find any that disputes it was a suicide. If it's John Fairbank's comment you refer to, he believed Yang committed suicide after being injured in a car accident. In any case, ALT3 is fine with me. Thanks for the suggestion. -Zanhe (talk) 21:01, 1 March 2014 (UTC)
Aaah I misunderstood the Fairbank note. Thanks for this contribution. Length reffing and paraphrasing at random checked.
