Windows Push Notification Service

[edit]

Improved to Good Article status by Oshwah (talk). Nominated by Samtar (talk) at 09:24, 15 June 2016 (UTC).

  • Looks good, though perhaps reword the latter part of the hook slightly? Windows Mobile is a part of Windows. Perhaps "...send push data to Windows desktop and mobile applications"? Mike1901 (talk) 09:40, 15 June 2016 (UTC)
  • Can't disagree with that, thank you for the suggestion Should I edit the nomination? -- samtar talk or stalk 09:50, 15 June 2016 (UTC)
  • Yes please, if you think it's a good idea - I'd likely only make a mess of it as my DYK experience is lacking! Mike1901 (talk) 09:55, 15 June 2016 (UTC)
  • Done :) that makes two of us! -- samtar talk or stalk 10:16, 15 June 2016 (UTC)
  • Article promoted to GA recently and prose size is long enough. Neutral and cited. Hook is short enough and relatively interesting. From [1] I don't believe that Samtar needs to do QPQ. No image to check. Everything looks good, the only problem I see is the citing of the hook in the article. As far as I can see, the only place the information in the hook is mentioned is in the second sentence of the lead. However, it isn't cited there. Is it mentioned somewhere else? • Omni Flames - see reference 9 - it's basically saying the same thing but in a more technical way. Mike1901 (talk) 06:59, 18 June 2016 (UTC)
*@Mike1901: Okay, I've added that reference to the spot where it talks about it in the lead. Looks good to go now. Omni Flames (talk) 07:05, 18 June 2016 (UTC)
